    Our Treatment Plans

    Teen Mental Health Treatment

Getting your teen the help they need for their mental health disorder is crucial to their development and future wellbeing. As a parent, you want to make sure that they are getting the best care possible, and that can be tricky when it comes to mental health disorders.

If you feel like your teen is struggling, don’t hesitate to reach out for help. Early diagnosis and treatment are key in ensuring your teen’s recovery. It is important to know that success is different for every teen, so there’s no reason to panic or get worried if they don’t show signs of improvement right away. Treatment can be a process, but the overall benefits can mean the difference between your teen struggling throughout their life and being able to adapt and survive even with their illness.

Because there are many different types of mental illnesses that teens can be dealing with, there is no one-size-fits-all treatment plan. Our treatments are designed to fit the individual and their respective issue and not be cookie-cutter treatments that only work on some. By providing individualized care, we improve the chances of your teen gaining the ability to recover from their mental illness and improve their quality of life.

What is an After School IOP Program

An after-school IOP program is a structured outpatient treatment program that meets once or twice a week, typically in the afternoon or evening. It is designed for adolescents and young adults who are struggling with mental health disorders and need more support than what is available in their day-to-day lives. The goal of an after-school IOP program is to help participants learn how to manage their illness so they can continue to live healthy, productive lives.

This type of program is most useful for teens who:

    • Are not able to attend traditional day treatment programs due to work or school commitments
    • Need more support than what is available in their day-to-day lives
    • Have tried individual therapy or medication management but still need more help managing their mental health disorder

    ADHD/ADD Treatment for Teenagers

    Teen ADHD Treatment

ADHD is one of the most common mental health disorders in children and teens. It can cause problems with focus, hyperactivity, and impulsiveness. Teens who suffer from ADHD often struggle in school and have difficulty making friends.

Treatment for ADHD may include medication, therapy, or a combination of the two. Diagnosis is the first step to dealing with this illness, and through our program, teens can learn to manage the effects of the disorder so that they can function normally in school and in life.

    Diagnosing ADHD in Teens

The signs and symptoms of ADHD can be difficult to distinguish from normal teenage behavior, so it is important to consult with a mental health professional if you think your teen might have ADHD.

Some things to look out for include: difficulty paying attention, hyperactivity, impulsiveness, problems with organization and planning, fidgeting, talking non-stop, and trouble sitting still.

ADHD can be a difficult disorder to live with, but there is help available. Through our program, teens can learn how to manage their symptoms and lead normal, productive lives.

    Teen Depression Treatment

Depression is a serious mental illness that causes a persistent feeling of sadness and loss of interest in activities. Teens who suffer from depression may struggle in school, have difficulty making friends, and withdraw from activities they once enjoyed.

It can be hard to tell if your teen has depression, but there are some signs to look for. If you think your teen may be struggling, don’t hesitate to reach out for help. Treatment for depression is available and can make a huge difference in the life of your teen.

    Diagnosing Depression in Teens

Just like ADHD, depression can be hard to diagnose in teens because the symptoms can be mistaken for normal teenage behavior.

Some things to look out for include: persistent feelings of sadness and hopelessness, loss of interest in activities, changes in eating or sleeping habits, problems concentrating, social withdrawal, and thoughts of suicide.

    ADHD/ADD Treatment for Teenagers

    Teen Anxiety Treatment

Anxiety is one of the most common mental health disorders in teenagers. It is characterized by excessive worry, fear, and uneasiness. Teens who suffer from anxiety often have trouble sleeping, concentrating, and performing everyday tasks.

Like other mental health disorders, anxiety can disrupt your teen’s life in many ways. It is important to get them the help they need as soon as possible so that they can start feeling better and living a more normal life.

    Diagnosing Anxiety in Teens

Anxiety can be tricky to notice, like other mental illnesses, but there are some hallmark signs to look for that may help in getting your teen diagnosed so they can get treatment.

Some things to look out for include excessive worry and fear, difficulty sleeping or concentrating, restlessness, irritability, muscle tension, and stomach problems.

Anxiety can be treated through therapy or medication. Our program offers both of these options so that your teen can get the help they need.

    Teen Bipolar Disorder Treatment

Bipolar disorder is a serious mental illness that causes extreme mood swings between happiness and depression. Teens who suffer from bipolar disorder may go from being extremely happy one minute to feeling hopeless and suicidal the next.

    Diagnosing Bipolar Disorder in Teens

Bipolar disorder is most often caught when a person has issues with violent mood swings. The person will typically range from very depressed to very angry, and this change can happen in a matter of minutes. If your teen shows signs of erratic behavior, it may be time to take them to a specialist to get diagnosed so that our treatment can help.

    ADHD/ADD Treatment for Teenagers

    Teen Personality Disorder Treatment

Personality disorders are a group of mental illnesses that cause long-term, persistent changes in thinking, feeling, and behavior. Teens with personality disorders often have difficulty functioning in everyday life and may struggle in school, at work, and in their personal relationships.

    Diagnosing Personality Disorder in Teens

Personality disorders can be difficult to diagnose in teens because the symptoms can vary greatly from one person to the next.

Some signs that your teen may have a personality disorder include problems with relationships, frequent mood swings, trouble coping with stress, impulsive behavior, and distorted views of themselves and others.

There is no one-size-fits-all treatment for personality disorders, but our program offers a variety of therapies that can help your teen learn how to manage their disorder and lead a more productive life.
